This year, the Cal-Western Regional Auditions will include an expanded number of categories in the following genres: Commercial Music, Classical, Musical Theater, and Hall Johnson Spirituals. Information on all categories can be found in the documents below.

For all advancing categories (1-8 in all categories; 9/10 in CM and CL), we are adhering very strictly to new national rules. Posted below are terminology definitions and category requirements.  Please read all the repertoire and accompaniment requirements carefully as some of them have changed from previous years, especially in Commercial Music.  All of the national regulations can be found here (pdf).

Please note: a student's category is determined by their age on September 1, 2023. Please plan accordingly.
