2021 Finalist Rankings

In the Cal-Western Region we have three kinds of finalists.  Once you have read the descriptions, the finalists are listed in a printable or viewable PDF document below.  Congratulations to all!!

As you may know, the regional auditions are the "on ramp" for the National Student Auditions.  For our regional finals, we showcase the top three scoring students (who receive scores above 90) from each category in a concert where they will be ranked by the judges.  Wanting to make this open to family and friends as well as judges across the region, this year that concert will consist of a YouTube playlist including each singer's video of choice.  The numbered categories are eligible for the National Student Auditions (1A , 2, 7B, etc.).  Stay tuned for details. 

The next round in the National Student Auditions is the YouTube round.  The top five scoring students in each numbered category will receive an invitation from mark@nats.org later this year to submit videos of the same repertoire they competed with for the regional auditions.  

In the Cal-Western region we have created additional categories to include children, youth, avocational adult singers, contemporary commercial singers, etc.  These are lettered categories (A-N).  The top three scoring singers, who receive scores above 90,  in each of these regional categories will also be featured in our finals concert.  Stay tuned for details.
